Calendar/Events Welcome to the Calendar and Special Events. Here you will find all the events that are taking place during the current calendar year. Any special events that might be taking place will also be found here, and of course we will be posting the newsletters as they come in. So if you are interested in checking out al events for the year you can find that in the Calendar. If you are looking for Special Events, such as monthly Trail Ride information start right here. The Nevada Division has put together an event called "The Pony Express Living History Festival" This festival will be held on April 3, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.. The event will be at the Fort Churchill State Park. Attendees at this event will be the Mountain Men, Nevada Gun Slingers, Civil War Re-enactors, the US Calvary Re-enactors, and of course the Pony Express. There will be wagon rides and letter writing with the Pony Express Riders carrying the mail over a portion of the Pony Express Trail and then turning it over to the US Postal Service for delivery.
